Goblins, Bats, and Ghosts

Happy belated Halloween!  This is (clearly) weeks late, but we've been busy.

Out of Africa

Our own version of "American Gothic"

John feels like our jack-o-lanterns are a reflection of his surgical skills, so he takes the job very seriously.  He doesn't want trick-or-treaters choosing a different ophthalmologist, simply because of a sub-par pumpkin display...

…And ta-da, our magnum opus!
John painstakingly scalpeled the haunted mansion, I carved the werewolf, Benson made the spider, Cole (kind of) did the bat, and Christian was the inspiration for the baby ghost with a pacifier.

And business is booming with John's new eye patients!  (Just kidding)

Benson went outside to help the neighbors rake leaves, and this is what we discovered upon checking on him.

Here are some of the kids at our annual church Halloween party

This donut gig is trickier than it looks!  If only it wasn't suspended by a long string...

Who knows how many other neighborhood children were hiding under that pile?!

Happy Halloween!

These are beautiful, crisp fall pictures. John's jack-o-lanterns this year are as amazing as last year's. I'd let him operate on my eyes!

The haunted mansion definitely cements John's skills--I will be driving to D.C. for any future eye surgeries.
