Say 'Ahhhh'

This picture definitely doesn't capture the emotion and noncompliance of Benson's first dentist appointment.  We're just relieved that he has no cavities, nobody was bitten, and it's over!

Any helpful tips for how to get your child happy for the dentist?  Please send them our way!  We've got 6 months to work on it!

Sydney had a tooth come in with poor enamel and she had to have it pulled a year ago. She freaked at the initial appointment, so we did the only reasonable thing. We put her under. That worked really well!

I'm afraid that Benson got his aversion to dental "care" from his maternal side grandfather!

Poor Ez threw up and threw up after his first visit to the dentist. Made me so sad. We are in Boston for now and it's looks like we may end up in New Jersey permanently. Strange for a NV girl and WA boy to end up all the way out here, but we are excited!

Ha Ha!!! Come see Todd!!!! Don't worry, even Emma the pediatric dentist's daughter didn't exactly enjoy it!

Did you take him to a pediatric dentist or a general dentist? I think it helps a ton to take kids to a pediatric dentist. Come visit us and we'll take him to play in the dental chairs at Paul's work...maybe that will help! :)

I want to learn the tooth bugs song.
We sing (to the tune of Row Row Row your boat)
"Brush, Brush, Brush your teeth!
At least 2 times a day!
Brushing Brushing Brushing Brushing!
Fighting tooth decay!"
And I have to say that that nurse's facial expression next to Benson makes the picture quite comical!
